Liam Kernan Therapy for Men seeks to encourage men to talk about their thoughts and feelings, in a safe space, non-judgmentally and without prejudice. Giving men the emotional literacy skills to assess themselves for harm, to allow them to engage with their emotions and to begin the healing process.
Liam uses a person-centred, humanistic, emotional therapeutic counselling approach that motivates a client to reflect on their emotional responses to situations, relay them back to a previous time in their lives, to work out the ‘blocks’ to moving forward and, over time, to heal any emotional pain and distress.
Liam works in a client-centred way that is both ethical and principled. Therapy for Men believes that every man should have access to this level of support, whether through this service or another therapy/therapist. Liam also offers clinical supervision.
