There are times in our lives when things can become difficult or perhaps we do not feel content and we don't know why. I offer emotional warmth and empathy to help you explore your difficulties, make sense of your emotions and reconnect with yourself. I believe that most people can benefit from having some counselling, from being with someone who truly listens to your unique experience, understands it and helps you to understand it too. I am a registered member of BACP and as a qualified integrative therapist I will tailor my approach to best meet your individual needs. I am led by you and what you feel ready and able to work on.
Our work together is based upon trust, empathy, understanding and a willingness to accept you without reservation. I can provide you with the space for you to be you and explore your problems, issues, emotions and processes at your own pace. I have an interest in self esteem issues, relationship issues and anxiety. I work with adults and young people 16-19.
As your therapist I would never assume to be more of an expert on you than you are, yet at times it can be difficult to understand our own thought processes, responses and patterns. As an active and participant listener I offer gentle and respectful challenges and aim to help promote a better understanding of self, new perspectives and life changes.
