Hi I'm Angela. Prior to training as a therapist I was with the emergency services for many years working with victims of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). I've also worked with adult victms of rape and sexual abuse, and victims of child abuse and domestic violence. As a result I'm able to hear anything you bring. Any parts of you that worry they may be "too much" may feel reassured to know I can handle whatever you choose to share with me. I'm trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) , Trauma- Focussed CBT and Person - Centred Therapy. You can choose which model you'd prefer, or work with a combination.
IFS works for anything. I've found it to be particularly useful for clients with historical trauma, including child abuse, rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence. It can genuinely bring healing. I've found Trauma - Focussed CBT to work well with PTSD and flashbacks. Person - Centred Therapy has helped bring clarity and self-acceptance.
