It's tough knowing how best to support your child. I'm an accredited counsellor and supervisor helping children and young adults (4-25), parents and families with issues such as anxiety, depression, school avoidance, and more complex challenges. I am also Barnardo's child-related adoption trained (Ofsted registered). I use a creative approach to help children and young adults tackle the challenges of education, friendships, and identity. We will work towards a greater understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing, exploring solutions and fostering wellbeing for the whole family.
From my own personal experience, and from client feedback, I know how important it is to seek professional help early. Addressing children’s and young adult’s difficulties as they arise means that solutions can be found before problems get worse.
Play and creative approaches, as well as talking therapies, enable children to communicate in their natural language. Through counselling, they can explore and understand their emotions, develop problem-solving and social skills and better manage their feelings.
