I am a Clinical Psychologist with 15 + years’ experience working in various roles within the NHS, including a mainstream Child and Adolescent Service (CAMHS), an Adolescent Service and a Neurodevelopmental Service, where I specialised in diagnosing Autism & ADHD and supporting families and children post diagnosis. I provide support to young people and specialise in working with adolescents & young adults. The people I work with tend to be struggling with issues such as low mood, anxiety (including OCD/phobias) and self-harm. I also provide Cognitive/Learning Assessments for children and young people aged 6+ years.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and third wave CBT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy) approaches in my clinical work which I have found to be particularly helpful for young people. I also have experience using ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) for difficulties such as OCD and emetophobia (fear of sick).
