Sometimes you might not know exactly what's wrong - it's just a sense that something isn't right. Other times, you might be facing something very specific in the here and now that you want to overcome. I help with a range of challenges, including anxiety, grief, relationship breakdown, low self-esteem, or the impact of abuse or trauma. I work with adults of all ages, and am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I provide a calm, safe space to talk things through without fear of judgement, and together we form a therapy plan to help you experience life the way you want to.
I run a private practice from my home. As a pluralistic therapist, I combine different approaches - psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT and hypnotherapy - and work with you to find the right blend for your situation and your goals. I've got 20+ years' experience in the corporate world and as a volunteer counsellor for an arts therapy charity.
Reaching out can feel daunting, as can opening up about deeply personal things you've never spoken about. It's tempting to think "this is just me, that's how I am".
