I work therapeutically with Children and Young People up to the age of 25 who present with a range of difficulties, including but not limited to Anxiety, Depression, Developmental Trauma, Body Image, Self-Harm, Suicidal Thoughts, and Attachment Issues. I have additional expertise in working in the area of post-adoption. I offer a contained, compassionate environment to explore and work through, at a safe emotional pace, the issues that are causing distress. My professional background includes the NHS, within the Child & Adolescent Mental Service & working privately; I offer supervision and consultation to professionals
Dr Andrew Mc Gibbon completed his doctoral clinical training in Psychoanalytic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust, London. He is a fully accredited member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists. He is a regular visiting University lecturer on a Master's Program for Mental Health and Social Care Professionals.
