Having trained with Relate, my area of expertise is relationships. I can offer to support to people who are considering the future of their relationship or struggling with their new reality following a separation or divorce. I appreciate that asking for support can feel like a big step to take, and that many clients might feel nervous about what to expect. In recognition of this, it is my aim to provide a counselling relationship that is relaxed, supportive and down-to -earth.
Changes and transitions through life will undoubtedly have an impact on our intimate relationships. Many couples tell me they have grown apart, that there is a distance between them and they need help to 'get the spark back'. It's not unusual to feel that life has gotten in the way and that your relationship just doesn’t feel the same anymore.
I understand that couples can feel stuck in a cycle of negative communication where it feels like little is resolved. I can offer different perspective and alternative strategies to help get things back on track.
