Welcome to True North Counselling where I offer individual and couples counselling and clinical supervision. I believe you are unique and need different things at different times in your life. When you or your relationship become stuck I will help empower you to explore where you are, how you got there, what is keeping you there and find new ways to meet your challenges. I believe you hold the internal resources to allow change and I will use different counselling methods and techniques to help you find them.and will share tools to enhance your mental wellbeing.
My therapy is described as integrative which lets me offer you a blended approach to suit your needs and this has allowed me to support clients with a range of problems. In couples therapy I aim to help both parties reconnect emotionally, listen differently and communicate more effectively to create a healthier relationship
My practice is based on authenticity and acceptance and I will offer you warmth and understanding to allow a therapeutic relationship to be formed. I will work at your pace and will introduce different approaches and techniques depending on your need. This will help us create a safe space, without judgement, to embark on your counselling journey.
