About
Are you feeling hopeless, low, anxious, lost or just not quite right? Struggling with imposter syndrome, overwhelmed or unfulfilled? I can offer you a calm, compassionate, non-judgemental space to explore whatever's on your mind or in your heart. I believe that you deserve an approach to therapy that's truly as unique as you are, so I never use 'a one size fits all' approach. Instead, I draw from a wide array of tools, approaches and theories - always working alongside you to find out what's best for you. Whether there's a certain event that's brought you to counselling, or things just don't feel 'quite right', counselling can help.
I have a special interest in the use of mindful awareness, the importance of self-compassion in therapy and the use of polyvagal theory to understand how stress and trauma affect our sense of embodied safety. This type of work lends itself well to working with a variety of personal difficulties, in a trauma-informed way.
I work online, which means that I am not bound by geography and can work with clients across the UK. I can now also offer face to face city centre therapy in Derby on weekdays between 9am and 4.30pm. Please do get in touch for a free 20 minute Zoom chat if you feel that you might like to work together, with no pressure and no obligation.
