my name is Amy Prior and I am the director of dragonfly therapy. I have 17 years experience in a variety of settings including, CAMHS (Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and MIND Charity.
My personal passion is helping children who experience challenges which maybe stopping them moving on and enjoying life. My philosophy is to work at the pace of each client and help them to achieve their own goals.
I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant for children, adolescents and adults. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems, Dialectical behavioural therapy and i'm a certified EMDR Sandtray practitioner.
I am a Accredited Consultant Child, Adolescent and Adult EMDR Therapist. Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing is a powerful new non-drug, non- hypnosis psychotherapy method to find healing from a wide range of personal and emotional difficulties.
I aim to provide my clients with a safe space in which to explore and better understand their own patterns and stories and gain new knowledge in coping mechanisms to aid healing. I remain steadfast in my goal to support people’s voices and embrace positive discovery with open arms.
