My name is Amy! I am often introduced to children and young people when they are at their most vulnerable and experiencing difficulties in their everyday life including school, friendships and homelife. This can affect the whole family and be deeply distressing. However, it is never too late to begin the healing process together and work creatively to help children find their way.
I am an experienced Play Therapist and mental health support worker for children aged 4-19 years old. I am passionate about supporting children and helping provide positive outcomes using early interventions. I am a facilitator for the Solihull Parenting Approach groups and currently training in Therapeutic Life Story Work with Richard Rose.
As a parent and a therapist, I believe it takes courage and commitment to bring your child to therapy and I hold deep appreciation and respect for families going through the process.
