I'm Amy, a qualified person-centred therapist and a registered member of the BACP. I'm a human being first - therapist second - with no jargon, no judgement, just honest conversations. I offer a down-to-earth, non-judgemental space where you can be fully yourself… whether that's laughing, crying, swearing or all three – and yes, that can include a brew.
I focus on getting to know clients and their individual experiences, with the aim of creating a comfortable space.
I integrate person-centred therapy with elements of CBT, providing a holistic approach.
I have worked with a variety of issues - anxiety, low mood, depression, stress, relationship issues, sex, sexuality, with my speciality being in trauma, domestic abuse and violence, sexual abuse/assault/violence.
I have full training in pre-trial therapy, trauma-informed practice, and working closely with risk and crisis.
I currently work with adults, and can offer face to face sessions in Chesterfield town centre, or remote sessions if required. The number and frequency of sessions is decided by you and can be adapted at any time.
