I practice from my own room in NR6, Norwich, with parking available. I offer a safe, nurturing, non-judgemental counselling relationship. I work with clients to explore the issues that bring them to counselling, make them feel unhappy, unsatisfied or overwhelmed; exploring and working towards understanding these issues, and their responses to them. Our unhappiness may be triggered by any number of things beyond our control, but we can change how we think and the views we hold, through increased self-awareness. Couples work looks at exploring issues in a safe and emotionally containing environment to work towards mutual resolution.
My training required me to have extensive personal therapy. My integrative training allows me to draw upon a variety of approaches, meaning I can tailor my response to your individual needs, and not you to the therapy. I see the relationship in counselling as being central to the work. I work collaboratively with clients, respecting their individual needs.
Therapy can help us to make changes or help us come to terms with situations in our lives, past and present - leading to more positive outcomes. Through healing from past experiences and current difficulties, and learning effective coping strategies, we can develop more meaningful and healthy relationships and create a more enriching and fulfilling lives.
