Sometimes life can feel difficult and our relationships with those we care about can feel challenging and complex.
Often the behaviours we have learnt as children to feel seen, safe and heard and our needs met may no longer work for us as adults often leading to increased emotional distress.
Therapy can help us develop new patterns of relating enabling emotional safety and security within our relationships.
The sessions are a neutral and safe space to make sense of thoughts and feelings that continue to be problematic and cause distress.
I offer therapeutic support to individuals, couples, families and groups.
Through the process of working together I am here to help you gain a better understanding of your self in relation to others and develop more appropriate ways to express your thoughts, feelings and have your needs met.
Although analytically trained my practice is predominantly psycho dynamic, attachment and trauma informed.
For therapy to be effective it is important
to feel understood and ‘held in mind’ experiencing both empathy and curiosity as to your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
I recognise the importance of adopting an empathetic and compassionate approach within my work even when at times there may also be the need for appropriate challenge to facilitate change.

The intention of the group is to provide longer term therapy and support for those who continue to experience on going difficulties regarding attachment, developmental and complex trauma, separation and loss. Prior to joining the group I do advise that there is a period of individual therapy sessions completed so that I can assess that group psychotherapy is the most appropriate therapeutic intervention to meet your needs. Wednesday Evening in person Group Spring 2026
I am planning a new face to face group to commence Spring 2026. It will be held weekly in the Canterbury area and will be a slow open long term group. Group members will be asked to of attended initial individual sessions prior to joining the group.
