People seek therapy for many different reasons. It can be to unblock creativity, or to explore the past. Some people come because they are experiencing difficult or unwanted feelings, such as anxiety or sadness. Some suffer from symptoms such as sleeplessness that are connected to their feelings. Whatever brings you to therapy, the psychoanalytic approaches I offer can deepen your understanding. I do not charge for the initial session, which is a chance for us to get to know one another and see if we can work well together.
In psychoanalysis your feelings or symptoms are meaningful; I provide a containing space for you to explore them. Together we will seek patterns in your experiences, investigate how we relate to each other and try to undo the areas where you feel blocked. It can be difficult to seek help. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is free of judgment.
It is not about offering advice. It is a very different sort of conversation to the ones you might have with friends or family. Here you are unequivocally the centre of attention and we will work together to gain insight into your experiences.
I do not currently have any spaces, but get in touch to find out about my waiting list.
