Hi I'm Alison and I provide sessions for children and young people aged 4- 18 years. I support clients with a wide range of issues including Anxiety, Low Mood, Low Self-Esteem, Bereavement, Transitions, Change, Trauma, Challenges with Self-Expression and Communication. I also have experience of working with children and young people with special education needs and those diagnosed with Autism or ADHD.
I use story making, embodiment, role play, puppet work, projective play, drama games and other creative arts therapy techniques offering the space to explore feelings, different perspectives, make connections and find ways forward to experience positive change. Clients can work creatively or have space to talk.
I offer a non-judgemental, supportive, safe space and use my 16 years’ experience as a creative arts therapist to inform my work. I have previously provided individual and group creative arts therapy sessions within Schools (including SEN Schools), Community settings and CAMHS, NHS).
