Hello, I’m Alison (she/her) and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working in Nottingham and online. I also offer Neurodivergent Coaching. My experience covers a wide range of mental health and emotional difficulties including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-harm, trauma and abuse. I work with adults and young people from the age of 12 from a diverse range of backgrounds and life experience. I have a particular interest in supporting Neurodivergent clients and will adapt my ways of working to meet your needs. I will offer you a confidential space where you can explore what is happening for you.
I use a person-centred approach, which I hope will help you to make sense of your previous life experiences and current circumstances. I will listen empathically and without judgment as you explore what is going on for you. I believe the relationship between the therapist and client is essential, so I work relationally to build trust and safety.
One of the hardest steps can be reaching out and asking for help, especially if you're not used to it.
