My name is Alex Monteith, I am a qualified Integrative counsellor, I use a collection of different approaches to counselling to tailor sessions to each individual. My pronouns are They/Them and I identify as Non-Binary. I currently run my private practice from my home in Worcestershire whilst also working at Birmingham LGBT Centre, supporting the mental health and wellbeing of individuals within the LGBT+ community. I am here to offer you empathy, acceptance and care as you explore yourself and the world around you.
I work with individuals who are part of the LGBT+ community, including but not limited to, gender questioning, non-binary, trans and cis gendered people. I also work with clients who are straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, queer and those questioning their sexuality. I work with a lot of Autistic clients and those with other neurodiversities.
Counselling is a supportive working relationship between you and I. I am interested in you as an individual, how you think and feel, and I am here to try to understand the world through your eyes.
