As an AuDHD therapist and someone who is proudly a member of the LGBTQ+ community, my practice supports anyone who feels they are different and do not fit, whatever their identity and how they choose to label themselves. Having extensively worked in community and crisis mental health settings, my work is ideal for those who have suffered trauma, with specialism's in areas such as sexual violence, domestic abuse and other trauma related disorders. My practice aims to create a safe and holding space, where we can use emotional exploration and creative techniques to explore what has happened to you and we can work towards healing this.
My practice is underpinned by an attitude of authenticity, where we approach topics without judgement or prejudice. My approach to counselling is relational, meaning the most important starting point is for us to develop a relationship that is warm, safe and understanding. Through this safety, there is the potential for true healing and change to emerge.
I cannot expect you to bring all parts of yourself, if I do not offer all parts of myself in return. The version you will get of me is un-masked and I will use my own body to communicate felt emotion in moments of deep emotional sharing. Genuine care is rooted at the centre of my practice and a shared want to see you progress and flourish into your true self
