I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and have a special interest in helping people with different issues including PTSD and complex trauma. I also help people with many other difficulties including: anxiety, phobias, anger, depression, low self-esteem, burnout, imposter syndrome and OCD. I have experience of working in the private sector and for the NHS. I have been working in private practice helping people for many years and people have found my services to be very helpful. The main approach that I use is CBT and this can be effective in helping to resolve a number of difficulties. I also use ACT and mindfulness.
It can be a daunting process to acknowledge that there are difficulties in your life and then more so to reach out for help. When someone calls me I have a brief discussion with them about what they feel they would like to focus on in therapy and their current issues. We then agree an appointment time and I will take your insurance details, if appropriate.
