Thank you for looking at my profile. I know that taking the first steps towards accessing talking therapy can be nerve-wracking and overwhelming. I aim to offer clients a welcoming, safe space in which they can explore their feelings without feeling judged. In this space we can work together to make some sense of how your world is and how you might like to change things, to feel happier, more fulfilled, safer, less overwhelmed or something else. I initially suggest 2 assessment sessions where you can gauge whether I feel like the right person for you to work with and I can assess whether I have the appropriate skills to help you.
I aim to provide a non-judgemental ear for your experiences, we may engage in discussion of the possible origins of thoughts, feelings and actions you have lived through. Clients have brought; paintings, songs, video games, tattoos and many other symbolic things that move them, to sessions. The sessions are a different space for you to use as you would like.
I firmly believe that our creative likes and energies are an important link to our innermost feelings. I particularly love music and film and see them as an conduit to engage with our true feelings and desires. They can give us a map to understand our inner world and negotiate change within it. I have been working for 15 years as a Jungian therapist.
