I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who has worked exclusively in the area of adult Autism (previously known as Asperger’s syndrome) and ADHD for over 20 years, both in the NHS and in private practice. People I see pursue an assessment as they are experiencing difficulties in their lives and wonder if it may be due to Autism and / or ADHD. I complete comprehensive, detailed diagnostic assessments which provide understanding and meaning and help people find ways to manage areas they are struggling with.
I’m a highly specialised Consultant Clinical Psychologist passionate about the needs of neuro divergent clients (ASD/ADHD). I believe a diagnostic assessment should be comprehensive, of high clinical standard whilst also being meaningful, compassionate, help the individual to understand how the diagnosis relates to them and also recognise their strengths
Before embarking on a full diagnostic assessment it is important is to think about the reasons why someone wishes to undertake it. At the end of our first meeting we decide together whether a full diagnostic assessment is likely to be relevant and useful before agreeing to a full assessment.
