Online Psychological Therapy for the Challenges of Being Human.
Hi, I’m Adam (they/them) and I am an accredited EMDR and Psychological Therapist.
I listen and help people to understand, manage and change their life using a wide range of psychological therapies.
I work mainly with depression, anxiety, anger, shame, stress/burnout and trauma.
Many, (but not all) of the people I work with have long term health challenges and come from the LGBTQIA+ communities. They may also be autistic, and/or neurodivergent.
I also work a lot with people who have survived emotionally immature/narcissistic/toxic parents.
I work with the relationship between us and what emerges as we speak, verbally and non-verbally.
I use Cognitive (thought/imagery brain based) and Somatic (body and nervous system based) approaches to enhance the process of healing by helping you to identify and change stuck patterns, memories, stress or anxiety in the nervous system.
I am not a “blank-screen”, silent therapist; I do therapy with you, not to you, and we work together in partnership. I will do my best to welcome you into the work by offering a warm, playful, consistent, supportive, honest, thoughtful, boundaried, experience of therapy. I look forward to co-creating and holding space with you (including the awkward bits!)
