I am a Person-Centered counsellor (Person-center means, client led) who uses CBT and Solution Focused techniques where suitable. My background includes yoga, reiki, meditation, aromatherapy and mindfulness. This means I can offer an holistic approach to the therapeutic work. The relationship between myself and the client (you) is at the heart of ALL therapy. Counselling is about change, and change can be very difficult and scary to do. In fact, sometimes we actually don't know how to do it. With support from myself, we will explore your anxiety, concerns, behavior, beliefs and feelings.
Therapy requires commitment and you may need to look in-depth at experiences you have put into boxes and hidden away. I am here to provide you with a safe, trusting, non-judgmental space where you can take these boxes out and delve deep inside to reorganise how you feel about them, this I turn will facilitate change for you and ultimately for your life.
I am a warm, caring, friendly person who wants to help you have a happier and better life. In the first session I will give you the opportunity to talk through what has brought you to this point. I will share with you the type of counselling available and what you could expect from me. The most important thing is that we can work together.
