Clients work with me due to my extensive training and experience alongside my compassion, warmth and curiosity. I offer a confidential, safe, trusting space in which I can help others make sense of their difficulties so that they can move forwards.
I work with clients who are experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, complex or childhood trauma, feelings of “being stuck” or loss of meaning in life, stress from life transitions or work, struggles with identity, and physical symptoms with psychological cause
I also have significant experience in clinical supervision and offer this for other therapists.
I am both a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. In my private practice I work as psychotherapist.
I am on the UKCP and BPC kite marked register.
I specialise in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT). I also have expertise in MBT (Mentalisation Based Treatment), Narrative Therapy and DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy).
I offer short, medium and long term therapy so that clients can have a space for as long as they feel it is beneficial.
All clients have an initial consultation meeting. This is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss the approach and think together if this would be helpful.
