Michael Tobin, Ph.D., has been a practicing psychologist since 1975, specializing in marital and family therapy.

His new book, Riding the Edge: A Love Song to Deborah, the silver medal-winner from the Non-Fiction Authors Association, chronicles a six-month transformative bicycle odyssey that he and his partner took in 1980. It’s a journey into the heart of a relationship as he and his partner struggle with choices that will impact them for the rest of their lives.

Dr. Tobin has been with his life partner and wife, Deborah, since 1974. He met her on a dance floor in Keene, New Hampshire, and, at least for him, it was something like love at first sight. It took her longer. They are the parents of four and the grandparents of 17.
