Michael Friedman Ph.D.
Michael Friedman, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, life coach and the co-founder of Hardcore Humanism. Hardcore Humanism is a life philosophy, therapy and coaching program designed to help people identify their life's purpose and work hard to achieve it. Dr. Mike has been studying how we can who has been studying how psychological processes impact us as individuals and as a society for over 30 years. He attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate, attended Yale University for his graduate studies, and completed his clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University. He has authored and co-authored several academic papers and book chapters and has presented his work at both national and international conferences. He has received grant funding from the National Institute of Mental Health and National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression. He has received awards for his work from the Association for the Advancement of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, Society for Behavioral Medicine and the Association for Clinical Psychosocial Research. He has also written articles for CNN, USA Today, Fox News, Huffington Post, Compulsive Magazine and Everyday Health, and has appeared on CBS Sunday Morning, NPR and Wall Street Journal Radio. Dr. Mike regularly delivers wellness talks to corporations, including PricewaterhouseCoopers and Macquarie Capital. He has a private practice in New York.
