These studies seem to pretty much ignore why people do or don't actually get along which is the compatibility of temperaments. Books related to Myers-Briggs profile analysis like "Please Understand Me II" describe common type compatibilities for mates. My M-B Type fits my Type profile description at about 80 to 90 percent. And after reading the section on mate preferences for my Type that association makes sense to me.
I realize that temperaments are abstractions. But I'm guessing that even if attractive men may not realize it, fundamentally they are probably like most other people. I.e. they seek somebody who is temperamentally compatible.
