When I reported to the landlord I was sick from mold toxicity and almost died in the hospital, and that I'd had a pro mold remediaton company test for toxic mold species in the house and there was a ton of it, he did not remediate the problem. Instead, he evicted me before I could die, because my son would have filed of a wrongful death action against him.

There is a concept in the law termed "implied warranty of habitability" which requires a landlord to provide a dwelling free of toxins and other environmental hazards, and other dangers to life and property. The law means nothing to slumlords.
