Steve Stankevicius M.D.

Steve Stankevicius, M.D., is a medical doctor undergoing his psychiatric specialty training. He is currently working in neuropsychiatry in Brisbane, Australia. He completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Nanotechnology at University of Queensland, before graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the same university in 2011.

Writing and speaking on a wide range of scientific and philosophical topics, Steve enjoys tackling complex issues in an accessible manner for those both within and outside psychiatry, with a focus on practical implications and solutions.  Steve has presented at a number of conferences, including the 2014 and 2015 RANZCP Philosophy, History & Ethics of Psychiatry Seminars, and the 2015 RANZCP Congress Conference.

Steve is a bi-national committee member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry's History, Philosophy and Ethics of Psychiatry Section. He has written for various publications including The Daily Banter, Salon, Elephant Journal, The Sydney Morning Herald and Independent Australia.
