Stephanie Sarkis, Ph.D., N.C.C., D.C.M.H.S., L.M.H.C., is the author of five books on adult ADHD: Natural Relief for Adult ADHD: Complementary Strategies for Increasing Focus, Attention, and Motivation With and Without Medication (2015); 10 Simple Solutions to Adult ADD: How to Overcome Chronic Distraction & Accomplish Your Goals (2nd edition 2011); Adult ADD: A Guide for the Newly Diagnosed (2011); ADD and Your Money: A Guide to Personal Finance for Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (2009); and Making the Grade with ADD: A Student's Guide to Succeeding in College with Attention Deficit Disorder (2008). A workbook for clinicians, Executive Function in Adults, will be released in 2018.
Dr. Sarkis is a AMHCA Diplomate and Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Counseling, one of 20 clinicians in the world with this dual designation. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She is a Florida Supreme Court Certfied Family and Civil Circuit Mediator. Dr. Sarkis also has a private practice in Tampa, Florida, where she provides counseling, evaluation, testing, coaching, and mediation services.
In 2001, Dr. Sarkis was awarded an "Outstanding Dissertation Award" from the American Psychological Association. Dr. Sarkis has been published in the Journal of Attention Disorders, The ADHD Report, and National Psychologist. She also writes blogs for The Huffington Post and Psychology Today.
