Shonda Moralis, MSW, LCSW earned her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania, is a psychotherapist in private practice, and has developed and taught various mindfulness group curricula and workshops for children, adults, and parents.
As a devoted mindfulness meditator and teacher, psychotherapist, and experienced mom, she was caught unawares when the birth of her second child, a decade after the first, left her feeling slightly unhinged. Opposed to throwing the baby out with the mindfulness bath water, it was clearly time to craft a new normal—one that easily incorporated 5-minute mindfulness practices into a demanding, full schedule. Breathe, Mama, Breathe is her answer to the enduring question posed by busy moms everywhere: How do I balance it all without losing my mind(fulness)?
Moralis lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two live-in Zen masters, who manage to teach their humble mom something new every day. Her book Breathe, Mama, Breathe: 5-Minute Mindfulness for Busy Moms is due out January 3, 2017 from The Experiment Publishing.
