Robert H. Woody

Robert H. Woody, Ph.D. teaches courses in music psychology and music education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His research has focused on the cognitive aspects of music making, including motivation and practice, expressive performance skills, and vernacular musicianship. He is an author of the book Psychology for Musicians: Understanding and Acquiring the Skills (with Andreas Lehmann and John Sloboda), a contributor to the Handbook of Music and Emotion, and the creator of the website
