Peter Ferentzy, Ph.D.

Peter Ferentzy, Ph.D., is a research scientist with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, although the views expressed in this column are his own and not meant to represent CAMH. He is also the author of Dealing with Addiction: Why The 20th Century Was Wrong, and co-author of The History of Problem Gambling: Temperance, Substance Abuse, Medicine, and Metaphors. His most recent book is Dealing with an Addict -- what you need to know if someone you care for has a drug or alcohol problem.
