Lloyd I. Sederer, M.D. is Chief Medical Officer of the New York State Office of Mental Health, Adjunct Professor at the Columbia/Mailman School of Public Health, and Medical Editor for Mental Health for The Huffington Post. He is a Contributing Writer to US News & World Report. Dr. Sederer served as mental health Commissioner of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and as Medical Director of McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. He received the 2013 Irma Bland Award for Excellence in Teaching Residents by the American Psychiatric Association, which also recognized him as the 2009 Psychiatric Administrator of the Year. He has been awarded a Scholar in Residence by the Rockefeller Foundation. He is a regular on SiriusXM Insight Radio's Tell Me Everything hosted by John Fugelsang.
