Jennifer Verdolin Ph.D.

Italian-born scientist Jennifer Verdolin is an animal behavior expert with a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution from Stony Brook University. She is currently a Lecturer at the University of Redlands and an Adjunct Professor with the Biolgy Department at Duke Universityin Durham, NC, where she studies lemur personality and social behavior. Her new book, Raised by Animals: The Surprising New Science of Animal Family Dynamics, weaves together research on both human and animal behavior providing insights and strategies to help us parent our children and have happoer families. Her previous book, Wild Connection: What Animal Mating and Courtship Tell Us About Human Relationships, blended humor and science to show the similarities between humans and animals when it comes to dating and relationships.
