E. Kay Trimberger Ph.D.

E. Kay Trimberger, Ph.D., is professor emerita of Women’s and Gender Studies at Sonoma State University; she is also an affiliated scholar at the Institute for the Study of Social Issues at U.C. Berkeley. Trimberger is also the author of the book The New Single Woman. Currently, she is working on a book about adoption, Creole Son: An Adoptive Mother’s Story of Nurture and Nature. The book combines personal narrative with analysis of science and social science research.

It includes discussion of relationships between others in the extended families formed through reunion or open adoption.
