Dawn X. Henderson Ph.D.

Dawn X. Henderson, Ph.D., is a Principal Investigator in the Collective Health and Education Equity Research (CHEER) Lab at North Carolina A&T State University. She is currently in the analysis phase of a pilot qualitative study on race-related trauma within the retrospective experiences of African American and Latino students’ in the public education system. She has several bodies of published research examining the implications of racism on the educational trajectories of racially diverse adolescents and interventions for suspended adolescents. She has provided several commentaries on her work through the American Psychological Association, News & Observer, New America Media and Diverse Issues in Higher Education.
