Brittany Thompson is a Ph.D. student in Applied Developmental Psychology at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Her research focus is on the socioemotional development of young children and factors that can support strong socioemotional skills.  More specifically, she is interested in understanding relationships between socioemotional development and other areas of development, such as executive function, especially for those who struggle with social and emotional competency, such as young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She earned her BA in Psychology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
