Brad Klontz, Psy.D.

Brad Klontz, Psy.D., CFP®, is a financial psychologist, a Partner at Occidental Asset Management, LLC, and an Associate Professor in Personal Financial Planning at Kansas State University. He is a former President of the Hawaii Psychological Association and recipient of the Innovative Practice Award from the American Psychological Association for work in the psychology of wealth. Dr. Klontz received a doctorate in clinical psychology from Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology and a Master’s certificate in financial planning from Kansas State University. He is the co-author of five books on the psychology of money, including Mind Over Money: Overcoming the Money Disorders that Threaten our Financial Health (Broadway Books, 2009).
