Alex Niles was diagnosed with Stage IV gastric cancer in the fall of 2013 at age 30. He is writing a book geared toward younger cancer battlers that sets forth his positive, activist approach to fighting the illness. He holds an undergraduate degree from Drexel University, where he was a Division 1 scholarship athlete. He received a joint MBA from Fordham University’s School of Business and Law School. In addition to his blog, Smiles for Niles, his writing about his experience with cancer has been featured in the New York Times and the Huffington Post. He lives in New York City.
