I specialise in working with anglophone expatriates in Switzerland (individuals, couples and families). I work with people struggling with anxiety/depression, grief, low self-esteem, self-harm, relationship issues, sexual challenges, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. I am SGfB registered intergrative psychological counsellor. I take into account you and your personal and cultural circumstances, and use elements of different approaches (e.g., CBT and Existential therapy) to help you explore your needs and set realistic goals to achieve them.
My specialist interest is in adult ADHD. Psychosocial interventions play an important role in treating ADHD in adulthood, even though it is neurobiologically based. Distractibility, disorganisation or task procrastination may be improved by setting specific goals in areas of organising, planning, adaptive thinking or anger management.
From my personal experience I understand that change is possibly the most challenging thing that we face. We love routines and patterns. It provides a level of comfort in our already busy lives. For those who already struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD or any mental health difficulties, even a small change may be just overwhelming.
