I’m a relationship counsellor - working with attachment trauma. Benefiting from relationship counselling doesn’t necessarily mean you have an issue with a particular person. More often than not it means you are feeling lonely and would love to have deeper relationships. Maybe you went through a bad breakup or you tend to lose yourself in relationships – that means you could even be in a relationship and still feel lonely and disconnected. Maybe you “have never been in a relationship” and really have no clue how that could ever work out – you feel like you are just not “lovable”.
