Paradise Valley Healing Center formerly known as Chopra Addiction & Wellness Center is a private residential center specializing in treating a broad range of addictive behaviours and psychological trauma. We are nestled on a peaceful 10-acre property set on the banks of the Cheakamus River only an hour's drive north of Vancouver, BC. What makes us unique is our holistic approach to healing that promotes balance and integration of body, mind and spirit. We will help you move beyond self destructive behaviour as you restore your health and transform your life. Our clinical program involves a collaborative bio-psychosocial and spiritual assessment. Guests experience a high standard of care from highly trained and compassionate healthcare professionals committed to providing the safety and expertise needed to work on underlying issues. The comprehensive healing method is trauma informed and combines evidence-based therapeutic tools supporting healthy sustainable change through assessment, treatment and post-residential stages. Our clinicians are practitioners who hold certifications or licensure as Registered Clinical Counsellors, Registered Social workers, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor, Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor Canadian Certified Clinical Supervisor. Our programs include Intensive Outpatient programs for alcohol & drug misuse, aftercare groups, family programs and family groups to address co dependency issues. We offer DSM 5 Assessments, comprehensive Independent Medical Evaluations by Certified Physicians.

For those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, or work-related trauma, a stable treatment program can make the difference between recovery and relapse. But putting your family and career on hold to receive inpatient treatment is a disruption many people aren’t able to make. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) provide effective treatment for substance addictions, mental illness, and trauma/PTSD. Offered online across Canada and in-person at select locations, the 8-week intensive program offers 9 hours per week of group and individual therapy sessions, followed by 10 months of Aftercare sessions to support ongoing recovery. These evidence-based programs use proven therapeutic techniques and psychoeducation to help patients learn the tools and skills they need to achieve long-term recovery. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioural Activation Therapy (BA).

At the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Centre of Vancouver, we use compassionate, scientifically supported treatments to help people achieve goals that are important to them and increase the quality of their lives. Our clinicians provide evidence-based individual, group, and family services. We have a full DBT program, including individual therapy, telephone consultation, skills training groups, and a consultation team and also offer other Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Mindfulness & Acceptance Based Treatments. In addition, we regularly train and consult with mental health providers across Canada.
