Brookside Psychologists is a clinical mental health practice with offices in Burlington and St. Catharines. We provide counselling, psychoeducational assessment, and neuropsychological assessment services to children, teens, adults, couples, families, and seniors. Our clinicians include psychologists, neuropsychologists, and psychotherapists. We are also a teaching facility, and affordable services are available with experienced graduate students under the clinical supervision of a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, or the Ontario College of Nurses.

We have 11 clinicians, each of us with a broad range of experience and interests, available to work with you and/or your family. The Well Parents Centre is an innovative prenatal and postpartum mental health centre located in Toronto, with virtual services available across Ontario. We support parents and parents-to-be across the reproductive stages including trying to conceive, coping with loss, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting.

For those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, or work-related trauma, a stable treatment program can make the difference between recovery and relapse. But putting your family and career on hold to receive inpatient treatment is a disruption many people aren’t able to make. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) provide effective treatment for substance addictions, mental illness, and trauma/PTSD. Offered online across Canada and in-person at select locations, the 8-week intensive program offers 9 hours per week of group and individual therapy sessions, followed by 10 months of Aftercare sessions to support ongoing recovery. These evidence-based programs use proven therapeutic techniques and psychoeducation to help patients learn the tools and skills they need to achieve long-term recovery. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioural Activation Therapy (BA).

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is an umbrella term for methods that share a focus on recognizing how thoughts and behaviours impact emotions, experimenting with new behaviours, and changing how we relate to our experiences. During treatment sessions, your therapist provide guidance on techniques to use between sessions, and discuss the insights you have gained through practice. The type of therapy that best suits you may include: Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy and/or treatment for children, adolescents and seniors.

OCCT has been providing psychological assessment and therapy services to clients in Oakville and surrounding areas for over 20 years.
