Welcome! I’m Dr. Gina Di Giulio, Clinical Psychologist and Founder of PathWell Counselling. I started PathWell because I wanted to create a centre that offered people quick access to the full range of mental health services that they may need. We are a team of psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers who are here to provide you with comprehensive care of your mental health needs. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is an umbrella term for methods that share a focus on recognizing how thoughts and behaviours impact emotions, experimenting with new behaviours, and changing how we relate to our experiences. During treatment sessions, your therapist provide guidance on techniques to use between sessions, and discuss the insights you have gained through practice. The type of therapy that best suits you may include: Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy and/or treatment for children, adolescents and seniors.

Venture Academy is Canada’s first and longest running private, direct access, adolescent residential program. Since 2001, Venture Academy has been providing assessment, treatment and educational support services for struggling teens, ages 12-18, suffering from mental health issues, substance use and other emotional or behavioural challenges. Our program is licensed and accredited and heavily focused on strength building. Families are actively involved in the treatment process to improve the success of their child. Venture Academy has served over 1,600 youth and families from every corner of the country and internationally. For those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, or work-related trauma, a stable treatment program can make the difference between recovery and relapse. But putting your family and career on hold to receive inpatient treatment is a disruption many people aren’t able to make. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) provide effective treatment for substance addictions, mental illness, and trauma/PTSD. Offered online across Canada and in-person at select locations, the 8-week intensive program offers 9 hours per week of group and individual therapy sessions, followed by 10 months of Aftercare sessions to support ongoing recovery. These evidence-based programs use proven therapeutic techniques and psychoeducation to help patients learn the tools and skills they need to achieve long-term recovery. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioural Activation Therapy (BA).
