Mental health and addiction treatment from home
For those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, or work-related trauma, a stable treatment program can make the difference between recovery and relapse. But putting your family and career on hold to receive inpatient treatment is a disruption many people aren’t able to make. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) provide effective treatment for substance addictions, mental illness, and trauma/PTSD. Offered online across Canada and in-person at select locations, the 8-week intensive program offers 9 hours per week of group and individual therapy sessions, followed by 10 months of Aftercare sessions to support ongoing recovery. These evidence-based programs use proven therapeutic techniques and psychoeducation to help patients learn the tools and skills they need to achieve long-term recovery. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioural Activation Therapy (BA). Our Intensive Outpatient Programs are for those who need more intensive treatment and structure than individual or group therapy alone. Not only do IOPs allow you to practice skills and address triggers in real-time, but they also allow you to recover in a setting where you feel most comfortable – your home. And because recovery requires support, our programs include optional educational sessions for loved ones to learn more about the nature of mental illness and addiction and how they can help you along your journey to long-lasting recovery. Both children and adults are encouraged to participate in the family sessions, gaining the skills they need to heal and grow together. Ongoing success requires continued support
To ensure that you can continue learning, growing and adapting after your 8 weeks of treatment, IOPs include 10 months of Aftercare programming. This includes weekly group therapy to build on the skills developed during inpatient treatment, connection with local resources and support groups (including AA, NA, and SMART Recovery), and compliance monitoring services (where available). Included in IOPs is access to our accompanying app, where you can record progress, share it with your counsellor, and easily access tools for recovery. This flexible program lets you achieve recovery on your own terms, with our team of trained clinicians supporting you every step of the way. Intensive outpatient programs for mental health and addiction at EHN Canada, EHN Online and EHN Outpatient services do not require a referral from a healthcare professional.
