Healing the Helper
Our Founder, Lori Gill is a sought after trainer, supervisor and therapist. She recognizes the importance of maintaining balance for helping professionals. During this unprecedented time where mental health needs are great world-wide, self-care for therapists is also paramount. At Lori Gill Psychotherapy ~ Holistic Wellness for Health we recognize the importance of harmonizing the mind, body, brain and spirit to create an experience of calm. Our integrative therapy and holistic wellness services regulate the mind and body simultaneously. Engaging in our own health and healing as a helper is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves (professionally and personally). All of our staff are trained in compassion fatigue prevention, wellness, and trauma integration and processing work. Our goal is to help you to notice, safely release, and tend to the stuff that 'sticks' with you so you can provide the best care possible and be as healthy as possible in your life and practice.
Emotional Awareness, Authenticity & Empowerment
Our treatment focuses on increasing awareness, competencies and self-compassion that strengthen your ability to regulate emotions and move through life's rough patches in an embodied and authentic manner. We integrate scientific research and leading edge therapeutic approaches to effectively regulate emotions, form new neural pathways and change negative thought patterns, manage intense emotions, treat anxiety and depression and learn how to form healthy relationships with yourself and others. Our approach is holistic and recognize the importance of harmonizing the mind, body, brain and spirit to create an experience of calm. Our work together is intended to help you to build competencies and confidence in your abilities to cope with problems, improve your self-awareness, nurture healthy relationships with yourself and others and promote a sense of emotional wellness and balance in your daily life. We appreciate the courage it takes to reach out for therapy. Although vulnerable todo, this is one of the greatest forms of self-care we can offer ourselves and can lead to a healthier more enriching quality of life.
