The Centre for Psychology & Emotion Regulation is home to an internationally recognized and diverse group of over 20 dedicated and highly skilled clinicians specializing in Eating Disorders, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma, Mood, Anxiety and Wellness. We provide a high standard of care supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes: psychologists, dietitians, social workers, psychotherapists, and a psychiatrist - all of whom have extensive training in a variety of evidence based treatments. Our Values
We are deeply committed to providing compassionate care, centered on lived experience, and advocating for those who have been misunderstood and lost. Our commitments involve creating safe and inclusive spaces, ongoing training and consulting with international experts and experts by experience, and situating our treatments and policies from a trauma-informed and weight-neutral perspective. As a team, we are actively committed to acknowledging and eliminating the ways in which treatments have been/are invalidating, marginalizing, discriminatory, and/or inaccessible to people of different backgrounds. We engage in regular training and consultation with experts in the B/I/POC, 2SLGBTQ+ and fat liberation communities. We advocate for our clients who are discriminated against based on their weight and shape, gender, ethnicity, and/or cultural and religious backgrounds. Individualized Care
